Monthly Funk & Soul Night in Soho London
Get ready to move, the Funk and Soul Collective are bringing together two Funk & Soul Bands at our monthly show downstairs at the legendary Spice of Life bar in Soho London.
On Sunday 28th of June we’ve got a live Funk & Soul double-header that means serious business. Soulfunks open the night — an eight-piece powerhouse with dynamic female vocalists, driving horn sections and a rhythm section locked in tighter than a James Brown countdown. Their setlist tears through the best of uptempo sixties soul and seventies funk, and if you’ve seen them before, you already know what’s coming. Then The Unfunkables step up to close out the night with their own groove-heavy brand of live funk and soul. Two bands, one stage, zero excuses for staying home
Come and join us and bring a friend or two. Party to the song you love from Car Wash, Play that Funky Music to I feel Good, it promises to be a great night to funk it up!
So, party on Sunday night and work from home on Monday morning!
The Bands
Soulfunks
Three female singers with dynamic styles deliver the best of sixties soul, and seventies funk, with a side order of reggae backed by tight rhythm and driving horn sections.
The Unfunkables
An eight piece band who play Funk and Soul covers in their own inimitable style. If you’re into Car Wash, Play That Funky Music, or Treat Her Right, you’ll feel right at home.
Fronted by two dynamic singers and backed by a tight rhythm section and sharp horn lines, they know exactly how to lift the room and keep the energy high. Featuring keys, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone and trumpet, this is proper live funk & Soul.
